Paintings and sketches as a rule have been made infront of the subject, flowers in the studio and landscapes as you'd expect in the land. However with lockdown and restricted travel I have had to work in one instance from photographs. Anyone who knows me will have often heard me say "You cannot paint from photographs, the camera only has one eye and understands nothing of three dimensions etc etc blah blah blah" I enjoyed working from photographs enormously (see 'Farnes Islands tidemark').
